Money Grows on Trees

Keeping in mind the last article, think about out federal government today. Washington politicians believe the best way to get out of financial trouble is by spending more money. It does not matter a hoot whether or not there are the funds to repay what is spent. I can guarantee you our creditors would be down our throats in a heartbeat if we did not repay what we borrowed, yet Congressional leaders and the president feel it is totally acceptable to spend, spend, spend. It is not a Republican problem nor is it a Democrat one. Both parties are guilty of such gross negligence. They are completely out of touch with reality and lack both common sense and guts to take a stand and say, "Enoughs, enough."

President Obama has already spent $2,000,000,000,000 in just fifteen months over and above the normal federal budget. Where is the outrage? It's there, but he and Congress are not listening. Common sense should dictate that federal leaders listen to their constituents. This appears to be no longer the case.

Thomas Jefferson said, "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty." We have been bamfoodled into thinking Washington has all the ansswers for us. Common sense has been replaced by complacency which in turn has bred servitude. And we thought slavery had been abolished in this nation!
